The Seabrook – Kiawah Genealogy Club brings together people who share a passion for discovering, preserving, and sharing their family histories. Whether you are just beginning your genealogy journey or have years of research experience, our club provides opportunities to learn, collaborate, and enjoy the adventure of family history research.

Our members include residents of Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, and Johns Island who enjoy exploring family connections, solving research challenges, and preserving the stories of generations past.

Every family has a story. Genealogy connects us with the people, places, and events that shaped our lives. Through research, we preserve those stories for future generations and deepen our understanding of both our families and the communities we call home.

What We Do

The club offers a variety of educational and social opportunities throughout the year, including:

• Guest speakers from the genealogy community
• Presentations by club members
• Research tips and demonstrations
• Discussions of genealogy tools and technology
• Collaborative problem-solving to overcome "brick wall" research challenges
• Sharing discoveries and family stories

Our meetings are designed to be informative, interactive, and enjoyable for genealogists of all experience levels.

Who Can Join?

Membership is open to residents of Seabrook Island, Kiawah Island, Johns Island, and the surrounding Lowcountry.

Annual dues are $20 per household, payable by October 31, to maintain active membership. Click here to join now.

The club meets regularly at the Seabrook Island Lake House, where members enjoy educational programs, lively discussions, and opportunities to connect with others who share an interest in family history.
