Join the Seabrook – Kiawah Genealogy Club

Whether you are just beginning to explore your family history or have years of genealogy experience, we invite you to become part of our community of family history enthusiasts.

Our members enjoy learning together, sharing research discoveries, and helping one another solve genealogy challenges while preserving the stories of our families for future generations.

Membership Eligibility

Membership is open to residents of:

  • Seabrook Island
  • Kiawah Island
  • Johns Island

Annual Dues

Annual family membership dues are $20 per household, payable by October 31 each year.

Dues help support guest speakers, educational programs, club activities, and other operating expenses.

Member Benefits

As a member, you will enjoy:

  • Genealogy research tips and demonstrations
  • Opportunities to collaborate on research challenges and "brick walls"
  • Fellowship with others who share an interest in family history

Upcoming Meeting - September 23, 2026

Welcome to a New Year of Genealogy! Welcome back to the beginning of another exciting year with the Seabrook Island–Kiawah Genealogy Club! Our Planning Board has been busy this summer preparing an exciting year ahead, with interesting presentations, workshops for beginners, and new ways to communicate and publicize the Genealogy Club. We are delighted to announce that our first meeting of the new season will be held on September 23, 2026. We will be joined by the Lowcountry Land Trust for a special presentation about one of the Lowcountry’s most iconic treasures—the Angel Oak Tree. Following the presentation, we will introduce you to the fascinating programs and presentations planned for the coming year, as well as several new communication initiatives we have developed.
